Τσουρέκι - Tsoureki, Greek sweet bread !!!

Το τσουρέκι είναι ένα παραδοσιακό ελληνικό γλυκό ψωμί, που συνήθως ψήνεται το Πάσχα αλλά μπορείτε να το απολαύσετε όλο το χρόνο. Είναι νόστιμο όταν σερβίρεται σε φέτες και αλείφεται με βούτυρο ή μέλι.

Tsoureki is a traditional Greek sweet bread, usually baked during Easter but can be enjoyed year-round. To make Tsoureki, you will need flour, yeast, sugar, eggs, milk, butter, orange zest, and a unique ingredient called "mahlepi" (ground cherry pits) or alternatively "masticha" (resin from a particular tree). After the dough is kneaded, it's left to rise and then braided into a plaited loaf shape. Before baking, it's brushed with an egg wash and decorated with colorful dyed eggs. It's delicious when served warm, sliced and spread with butter, chocolate or honey.
